I'm an instigator, a Joker, a questioner, a listener, a learner, and a collaborator.
My current areas of work include trans and queer stories, applied and community-based theater, Intimacy Choreography, and new play development.
I freelance everywhere, but my artistic home base is in Western Massachusetts. I am always looking for new collaborators and projects.

I was interviewed this summer on the Tablework: How New Plays Get Made podcast, hosted by Amber Bradshaw. We talked dramaturgy, intimacy choreography, queerness, and the next generation of theater-makers. The episode is available to stream on Spotify as well as most podcasting platforms.

I co-wrote a weird little play for a 24 hour play festival with Rory O'Neill, (MAD DASH at Fresh Ink Theatre) called They Don't Need Bombs in Cleveland: A Barbenheimer Tale.

Last June, I started a new adventure as the Managing Director for The Performance Project, and I just celebrated my first anniversary!

I've been busy publishing! Read more about my publications here.

I was part of the 2020-2021 cohort of International Dramaturgy Lab.  As part of IDL, I met with a group of dramaturgs weekly to collaborate, share skills, seek support, challenge our dramaturgical assumptions, and create art together.
I edited this video to showcase some of the ways our group works and some of the questions we have explored.

I am working with a fantastic team of LMDA dramaturgs--Lynde Rosario, Liana Irvine, Linda Lombardi, Russell Dembin, Martha Steketee, Jess Applebaum, Ken Cerniglia, Heather Helinsky, and Anne G. Morgan--on a project called "Dramaturging the Phoenix." From the website:
"In April 2020, LMDA asked its members to contribute short essays to boldly inspire, provoke, and explore theatre’s potential to transform through global crisis. The Dramaturging the Phoenix challenge challenged writers to imagine the 'radical dramaturgy' that will lead theatre and performance into the next year, decade, and century. What ideal theatre-making will heal the communities, nations, and the globe during the long recovery ahead? How can dramaturgical imagination and practices shape the theatrical phoenix that will rise?"
Read more about the project here.

Watch a conference panel showcasing some of the essays below.
Join us on Tuesdays at noon ET every week to continue the conversations! Message me for zoom link.

I was interviewed by students from the University of Evansville Department of Theatre for their LMDA 2020 project: CoVIDEO VISIONS. Watch a segment of the interview here:

I was interviewed & photographed by Alex Mancini for Beyond the Binary project, photos below.
