I have worked on projects at a variety of professional, educational, and community theatres, including: University of Massachusetts, University of Evansville, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Center Stage Baltimore, The Playwrights' Center Minneapolis (while at PWC, I crafted and wrote for this blog), New Harmony Theatre, and more. Below are selected projects and examples of my work.

One of my ongoing projects has been archiving my research and practice in trans theater through a manifesto project, Tranifesto.

Intimate Apparel (intimacy choreographer - Silverthorne Theater 2023)

Picture

Orlando (intimacy choreographer - UMass 2022)

Picture
This production included lots of intimacy, ranging from several kissing moments to flirtatious touch to Desdemona's violent death to implied nudity/stripping to silhouetted sexuality.  It was a joy to play with queering intimacy and gendered expectations.

Short Eyes (intimacy choreographer - Mt. Holyoke 2022)

Picture
This production had several moments of sexual violence to stage, in collaboration with a student fight choreographer.

Late: A Cowboy Song (intimacy choreographer - UMass 2022)

Picture
For this production, I staged several kissing sequences, moments of physical intimacy, and moments of intimate partner violence. I also trained the cast in intimacy protocols.

WITCH (intimacy choreographer - UMass 2022)

Picture
For this production I did workshops with the actors on boundaries & consent, staged, choreographed, and assisted with scenes of intimacy and violence. I collaborated with the fight choreographer on a scene with combined intimacy/violence. I also trained the costume and makeup crew in consent for quick changes, other interactions with actors.

Gender Experience TM (community activist partner - UMass 2020-21)

Picture
Watch the performance here!
For this digital performance series, dramaturg Tatiana Godfrey and director Josh Glenn-Kayden developed a new process in which they paired activists with playwrights to imagine "visionary futures" together. I worked with M Sloth Levine to envision what our fantasy future of trans healthcare might look like.

The Mystery of Irma Vep (dramaturg - The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis 2020)

Picture
I served as dramaturg for this campy romp full of allusions, send-ups, and references to everything from The Mummy to Wuthering Heights.

Queer & Now: Sync or Swim (dramaturg, devisor, sound engineer - Amherst 2018, NYC 2019, Greenfield, MA 2020)

Picture
Queer&Now: Sync or Swim is the third iteration of an ensemble devised project I've worked on for the past 3 years. This version queers mythology, imagining how we might build communities, smash the patriarchy, and love our queer and trans bodies.

Wild Thing (Dramaturgy Consultant - UMASS 2019)

Picture
Wild Thing is the first ever performed English translation of La Serrana de la Vera, written in 1613 by Luis Vélez de Guevara and translated by Harley Erdman.  This production explored Gila, the title character, as through a trans lens.As a Guest Artist, I designed the poster (left), led workshops on gender performance for the cast, facilitated a workshop for visiting school groups, and moderated talkbacks on feminism, gender, and trans bodies in performance.

You can read the study guide I created for area high schools here.

Hir (Dramaturg - Jobsite Theater, Tampa, FL 2018)

Queer&Now: A Lip Sync Spectacular (Dramaturg, devisor, sound engineer - Amherst, MA 2017-18)

Picture

Trailer by Alyssa Labrie.

Queer&Now is an ensemble devised project that explores lip sync and drag as a form of queer dissent. The project combines music, movement, poetry, and gender exploration in a night of fun, raunch, protest, and celebration. As a devisor and dramaturg on this project, I assisted in the choreographing, selection of materials, sound engineering, and overall concept.

Hedda (Dramaturg, Adaptor - UMASS 2017)

Picture

Playlab (Producer, dramaturg - UMASS 2015, 2016, Advisor - 2019/20)

Matthias), Kim Euell (The Dance), and Stephanie Swirsky (What Actually Happened Was...).

Marie Antoinette (Dramaturg - UMASS 2015)
