For several years I have worked in trans and queer advocacy, even running a small non profit that provided continuing education workshops, public events, and support groups. I have worked as a facilitator, advocate, and public educator for organizations such as Gender Warriors, Stonewall Center of UMass, PRIDE, Trans Ohio, Come Together Kentucky, Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Asexual College Conference, and more. I also currently am offering my services to theater companies and non-profit orgs who need help making their paperwork more trans-affirming.
One of my ongoing projects has been archiving my research and practice in trans theater through a manifesto project, Tranifesto.
I offer a number of presentations and trainings on these subjects for universities, high schools, and health care providers (mental health and social work inclusive). Past presentation subjects include:
A history of trans activism in the US
Trans-specific sexual health
Trans Health, surgeries, hormones, Standards of Care, and current health policies
"Safe Zone" trainings/LGBTQ+ advocacy in educational institutions
LGBTQ+ terminology and general knowledge
I am also a painter!
While I love acrylic and watercolor, I mostly paint digitally these days. My art has been used in social media marketing, play posters/programs, websites, and for personal commissions.
Extra Curriculars
My other interests include tarot, adventures (especially in water), the color pink, learning new crafts, drag, and playing with my pups.
